Hello. My name is Jacklynn and I'm 26. My parenting style is somewhere between traditional and attachment. We breastfeed and use cloth diapers, I own a moby but prefer the stroller. I'm not a fan of CIO but I want my children to sleep in a crib in their own room. My favorite color is pink and I like potatoes, fixed any way you can. Baked, fried, mashed, diced, scalloped, twice baked... oh did I say fried? I love going on cruises. I like sparkles and mini coopers. A pink sparkly mini cooper would be perfect. (I actually I really love the cream ones). I use parenthesis too much as well as an overuse of ellipsis. I'm not great at spelling and I tend to ramble on. I love when it rains but hate thunderstorms. I spent 3 1/2ish years living in Florida but am back in Indiana closer to family.
I'm married to Matthew. He has a blog too, which is here. He married me on May 12th, 2007 after 6 years of dating me. He would eat his dinner frozen if that's the way I served it, he isn't picky. Speaking of food, he isn't very adventurous either. He will eat whatever random creation I've came up with but he'd be just as content eating a hamburger and fries every day... heck give him a bowl of ramen and he is content. As I'm writing this he asked if when writing about him if I was going to say that on a scale of 1-10 of hotness I would rate him a 12. Yes Matthew, something like that.
Now on to the one we call our daughter. Norah was born on June 8th, 2011 after having spent 15 months trying to get pregnant due to my having PCOS. We were getting ready to move on to IUI when she surprised us and decided to come on her own. Something she didn't do on her own though was coming into the world, for that she had to be evicted. Her favorite activities include coloring, painting, playing outside and hugging her brother. Her favorite food is apples and Cheerios. Oh, and she just so happens to be the most beautiful girls on the planet. Sorry that she's stolen that title.
Our most recent addition, Wesley, came to us in February 2013. He and his sister are almost exactly 20 months apart. He spent the first 3.75 months of his life colic. It was terrible. Now he is a happy boy that doesn't stop moving. He is certainly a busy busy boy! He looks so much like his sister it's crazy.

Oh yes, and we have a Yorkie :)
Hi, Jacklynn! I read your intro over at the MomDot Forums and hopped on over here to check out your blog. I love it! It's so cheery and welcoming and I think it's going to become one of my new favorites. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also going to send my husband the link to your husband's blog. Michael blogs as well and he's been trying to train for a marathon, so I think he'll enjoy your husband's site.
