Moon Go Night-Night?
We spent the evening in Indy last night looking at double jogging strollers (more on that later this week) and didn't pull into the driveway until after dark. After spending the ENTIRE hour home repeatedly saying, "Seatbelt on!" for some reason (we always wear our seat belts but lately she's been very concerned with everyone wearing their seat belts haha) she suddenly became concerned for a different reason. She spotted the moon and our conversation went something like this,
Norah: "Star!"
Me: "Oh, that's the moon babe"
Norah: "The MOON?!"
Me: "Yep"
Norah: "Oh"
....
Norah: "Oh no! Where the moon go?!!" (we had turned directions and she could no longer see it)
Me: "You just can't see it because uh well uh we turned and...." yeah I had a hard time coming up with the right words explain to a newly 2 year old that I know thinks concretely.
Then she started talking about stars which saved me. But then we got out of the car and clouds were covering the moon.
Norah: "Where moon go?!!"
Me: "It went night-night"
Norah: "Oh. Stars sleeping"
I'm going to miss her innocence. Guess I should invest in the book, "Good Night Moon".
