Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful that even though my computer still isn't fixed, I do have access to the Internet.

I am bummed though that it causes my blog quality to be down though of course. I miss jumping on my Mac to do them. But in the end, I'm just thankful that I have a computer to miss.

Computer Still Broken/Baby Legs Giveaway!

I dropped my macbook off at the genius bar hospital yesterday :( We are hoping it is the $49 problem they suggested it might be. If it isn't it will be tough to poor money into a computer that they don't even make anymore. I'm really hoping it's just the easy $50 fix.

I didn't realize how much of a pain it would be to blog without my computer. I have so many things I have on the list to blog about! Including our trip to our favorite cupcake place in Indy yesterday, The Flying Cupcake.

Oh! And I have some exciting news! I will be doing a review for Baby Legs very soon! Even more exciting is that I will be giving away $50 in Baby Legs products to one of my readers :) Stay tuned for more info on that :)

Thankful Thursday

I'm thankful that having a broken computer is an issue for me. I'm thankful that I have a computer that is able to be broken. It's funny how we can get some comfortable in what we have that when something that is such a luxury goes down we feel that it is our right to have that luxury item. A computer isn't something that I necessarily NEED, it's just nice to have. I'm thankful that I am in a place where I think about the "nice to have things" and my mind isn't consumed with where I might be able to find my needs, such as food and water. 

A while back a trending hashtag on twitter was #1stworldproblems - having my computer being down for a little bit is definitely a first world problem. I've been reminded this week that I'm incredibly blessed to have the big things in life and I shouldn't let the lack of luxuries on my life stress me out.

Computer Down

My computer is down for the count at the moment :( I had it plugged in and turned it on. It never booted up so I manually had to shut it down and try again. It did start up this time but it just took a while. I started  transferring some pictures from my camera to the laptop and all of the sudden it just shut down and now it won't turn back on at all. The charger isn't charging it either.

I've heard two suggestions - that it might be the battery or the motherboard. I'm thinking a battery would be an easier cheaper fix so I'm hoping that is what it is. 

Until then though my posts might be a little limited unfortunately. We do have a back up HP computer that is terribly awful, but will work if you hold the AC adapter in, turn around 3 times and stand on your head.... so I'll try to use that to get in a few posts this week hopefully.
