Murder Mystery Party?!

I'm a party planner at heart and love planning a good party! Even if it is just a few little decorations, I enjoy coming up with ideas and decorating. Things don't always turn out like they do in my head but I still have fun!

I was thinking about Halloween parties the other day and found myself looking at Murder Mystery parties. Has anyone either participated in one or thrown one before? I'm fairly certain we are doing a "Matey" pirate themed one at this point.

Tips? Tricks? Think I'm nuts?!

I've already got a million ideas running through my head so I hope this ends up being a blast :)

Norah's Second Halloween

Yesterday was Norah's second Halloween but it was the first Halloween that she could walk around and while she didn't understand the whole concept of trick or treating it was a lot different than last year. She went as a 50's girl and she of course was the cutest little girl in the world.

I made her little poodle skirt and though it wasn't perfect I am pretty proud of my little project. Now if I could just stop myself from eating all of the candy she can't have (the hard candy, peanut butter thing too chewy).

Halloween Costume

I've discovered that I'm one of *those* moms that starts thinking of their kid's Halloween costume months in advance. It was probably 3 months ago that I decided what I wanted Norah to be for Halloween. I figure I might as well have my fun when she's still too young to get to make the choice for herself :) Last year she was a sock monkey and I created her costume pretty easily by putting together some clothes that matched a typically sock monkey and topping it off with a sock monkey hat.

Best picture I could find

This year she is going to be looking adorable in a poodle skirt that I'm attempting to make. Now I'm not  all that crafty so I'm just pretending to make it, so we will see how it turns out!

If your kids dress up for Halloween what is your kid dressing up as?
