Get Well Soon & Stop Growing Up

I have a card on my dresser that makes me smile. Back when I was dying  had mastitis Norah got me a "Get Well" card. I think her daddy helped her pick it out, but she did the artwork all on her own. When she brought the card in the bedroom to me she looked so old as she handed it to me. I'm not really sure where my baby went, but she has been replaced by a child getting less and less baby-like by the day.

This was taken last May. One year ago.

She was still a baby (11 months). I love the amazingness that this almost 2 years old stage brings, it is so fun that she is saying new words every day! At the same time though... where did my baby go?! I know that no matter how much I stop to take in Wesley's baby moments that a year from now I will be looking back at pictures of him and wonder where in the world time went.

Winter Fun

Last year we didn't see very much snow here in Indiana. In fact I think we got two small dustings and that was about it. This year though we currently have about 8 inches out there (we've had a lot of drifting though so some spots has just a little and others have 2 feet). Norah doesn't seem to be too fond of the cold (or maybe it's the bundling up she doesn't like) so we went out today during her nap to make a snowman. Sadly the snow is very dry and not good packing snow at all so our snowman plan failed a bit. We resorted to mini snowmen :) They are less than 6 inches tall.

I also thought it might be a good idea to make a snow angel. I'd just like to remind you that I am almost 9 months pregnant. I got stuck. I had to call out to the husband who was shoveling some snow at the end of our long driveway to come help me up. He was being a fuddy dud and didn't want to make a snow angel.

Norah did join in on the fun a few days ago, even though it wasn't her favorite.

My Daugther: Made for the Circus

My daughter might be sending her resume into the circus any day now. Between the baby in a basket trick and the standing on a piana she will be a sure hit.

She was trying to get deeper into her toy bucket and this seemed to be the most logical way to do it. Like any good parents we grabbed our cameras (well phones) and snapped a picture before saving her from the uncertain doom of falling and breaking something. Actually she climbed down on her own without too much truoble. Sadly she couldn't reach the item she was going for and proceeded to have a bit of a fit. I wish I could say she wasn't starting to get a bit of a temper already!

Who me?

She's Already Hiding Things From Me

SOURCE
Norah has a nice little cold unfortunately.  Yesterday I grabbed the oh so fun snot sucker and attempted to help her nose out, but it's a bit hard to do without a second person because she makes us hold her down to do it. Oh yes, it's a fun experience! I gave up trying to do it alone and decided to wait until Matt got home and could help me out.
Before bed I asked if he would help and I went go to get the sucker. It is nowhere to be found. We seriously searched everywhere in this dang house including the dog's crate in case they found it somehow. It has vanished. I can't even remember what I did with it at all after decided to wait until Matt got home. I think Norah hid it. That's the only explanation that I can think of...
