For the Love of Pictures

I take too many pictures. I got my newest phone (iPhone 4s) on June 7th (I know the exact day because it was the day I found out I was pregnant and the day before Norah's birthday) and I have already had to empty my phone of pictures twice. When I emptied my phone today I had 1,537 pictures. I didn't take nearly this amount before having a kid! I can't help but want to capture every little cute thing she does, which of course includes things no one else cares about like brushing her hair or smearing applesauce in her hair. I'm guessing with #2 coming any time now hopefully in the next few weeks my phone will need to be purged of pictures even more often.

Pictures!

Last Friday we went and had our pictures taken by Billie Bush. For some reason Norah wasn't her normal smily self though... of course - when we need her to be her smily self she isn't haha! I think she since I was stressed about her not cooperating and then it in turn made her not cooperate, so it was totally my fault. 

Thankfully Billie is amazing and managed to get some good ones anyway :) She's posted a preview here on her blog.

Professional Pictures

Friday morning we are getting our first real set of family pictures taken. We had a few taken when Norah was about 3 weeks old, but I didn't like them very much and we didn't order any of them. Now that Norah is almost a year old (yikes!) I am excited to get pictures of the 3 of us together. I enjoy taking pictures so most of my computer is filled with pictures of my husband and Norah, but I don't find myself in the pictures very often.

Any "not to be missed" pose suggestions?

Birthday Preparations Underway

I've been working on some things for Norah's birthday party which is on June 9th (how is it that she is already going to be one?! Seriously I feel like I was just in the hospital having her!) and part of that included taking a picture for her party invite. Here are two outtakes from our little photo opt.

She's going to be having a pink/brown/green owl theme party. So far I have her invitations done, just need to get them printed and mailed this week and I have someone ready to go to make her cake.

I want to go outside!

In Florida loved getting to go lay at the beach in February if we wanted or walking at Disney's Boardwalk Resort in November. May-September was plenty hot but at least you COULD go outside if you wanted. I hate how when it's cold (too cold to have the baby out for more than a few moments) you can't be outside. This is my biggest cause of being homesick for Florida. I complain about it often... I know I do. I very much miss Florida. I wouldn't trade being close to family for it, but I miss it a lot.

I bring this up because today is so pretty. I look at our window and it makes me want to go outside and take pictures - then I stepped outside and realized I was nuts. Sometimes it is so deceiving when it is sunny in the winter.

We had to settle for taking some pictures inside today. She's been pretty happy today considering we kept her out pretty late last night going to the basketball game :)
